The Elusive Ladies are a line dance organization OF WOMEN and Men that dance to stay fit. We want to promote a healthier lifestyle for people of all ages, shapes, sizes, and race. We are all about having fun, staying active, and loving every minute of our lives.

What are The Elusive Ladies & Gents about:

We are about creating a loving environment, giving unconditional support, and giving motivation.  We are not only a Social Line Dance Group, our focus is to make everyone feel welcome and at ease.

Core Values of Elusive Ladies & Gents:

  • We Make Line Dancing fun for ALL ages
  • Loyalty but also togetherness, respectfulness
  • The group is a sisterhood & a brotherhood like no other
  • We operate as a united front & with dignity (in & out of EL & G attire)

Do you have to be a dancer to be in the group?

  • No, but this reverts to you don't have to be a dancer but must be willing to learn and participate.

Is it a social group or a dance group?

  • The Group started as a dance group helping women become the fittest, they could be.
  • As the group continued to grow, it became both.
  • We dance for fun, perform, support our community, fundraising, and volunteer work.
  • We fellowship together and with other line dance groups

What does the group contribute to the community?

  • EL & G participates in drives/donations, walks for cures, entertainment for various care homes, and FREE line dance classes.
  • The classes are offered FREE so that cost is no barrier to participation.
  • EL & G motivates the community to move their bodies/exercise to become healthier.

How to Become an EL & G Class Member

What does it take to become an Elusive Lady or Gent class Member?

  • Have a POSITIVE Mindset
  • Supporting the group (with your presence & word of mouth)
  • A willingness/ability to learn the dances
  • Be Respectful
  • (Opportunity to move up to Honorary in 6 months to 1 year after being a class member and displaying interest and dedication, if offered you are not obligated to accept the invite to the group if you are unsure. But the process will start over, back at class member)

What does it take to become an ACTIVE Performing Elusive Lady and Gent Member?

  • Have a POSITIVE Mindset
  • Consistency and faithfulness.
  • Supporting the group (with your presence & word of mouth)
  • Show that you want to be part of the group,
  • The determination to do what it takes to be a part of the group and stay. (Unless it’s a very bad infraction, you will put yourself out of the group)
  • A willingness/ability to learn the dances and perform on stage
  • Have the heart of a lion since we perform in front of people
  • Be prepared to put in time and money
  • Be willing to come to meetings, gatherings, EL & G Events, & other event performances (MANDATORY)
  • We have responsibilities as an active performing group (you must attend 2 non-EL events, at least 2 to 4 classes a month- depending on how many we have a week, attend 6 EL & G monthly socials, and 2 EL & G events a year)
  • Be Respectful
  • Pay dues
  • (You are not obligated to accept the invite as an Elusive Ladies & Gents or stay a member if you are unsure about being in the group. If you choose to leave the group, you will forever be an honorary member (just not an active member)
